DOT Return-to-Duty Follow-Up Plan Administration
For employees completing the DOT return-to-duty process, we administer the follow-up testing plan prescribed by the Substance Abuse Professional.

Follow-Up Testing Cannot Be Left to Chance
MedScreens Manages the Plan From Setup Through Completion
After the employee completes the SAP process and receives a negative return-to-duty test result, every test in the SAP-prescribed follow-up plan must still be completed. MedScreens coordinates the unannounced tests, tracks the plan and maintains clear documentation. For FMCSA-regulated drivers, we can also submit the required return-to-duty and follow-up-plan completion information to the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse when MedScreens is properly designated.
DOT REQUIREMENT
At Least 6 Tests in the First 12 Months
The SAP may require additional follow-up tests for up to five years. Follow-up testing is separate from the employer’s regular random testing program.
